Live from NY; my name is Denise Jackrel. I’m a screenwriter and comedian who has performed at the legendary Comic Strip Live comedy club and one of our national landmarks, the Actors Temple, in my hometown, New York City. I’m also the creator of the groundbreaking docuseries Born to Be Me, which spotlights dynamic families with their joys and challenges, navigating their cognitive and physical differences up against the backdrop of society’s high expectations. I’m jacked up in developing my pilot. And that’s not all. Fun fact about me while manifesting an Emmy: I’m looking to reenter the workforce after an extended career break as a customer care coordinator in our esteemed TV industry.
